Intramural Sports

This sports program is offered to boys and girls in 5th & 6th grade students at JA and Summit Academy.  We offer soccer, basketball and volleyball. Each sport will be 8 weeks long on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Participants will sign up for either Tuesdays or Thursdays.  All practices will be held at school from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. Students need to be picked up by 4:30 p.m. 


Volleyball registration will be open on January 30th.


The volleyball program will be held in the main gym (students should have appropriate shoes), from 3:15pm- 4:15pm Students will meet their coach in the commons at 3:15. Parents will need to pick up at the main entrance at 4:15 p.m. Practices are open only to coaches and athletes. However, we will have intrasquad games during the last week of the season. Parents, family and friends will be encouraged to attend those games. 

In order for your child to participate, you will need to complete:  the Registration Form, the Athletic Emergency Card and the T-Shirt Order Form. All forms and payment must be completed and turned into the office or homeroom teacher. Positions are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will close when positions are filled (Each sports registration will open two weeks prior to the first practice). There is a required fee of $100.00 for 1 sport, $70.00 for the second sport,  $50.00 for the third sport. Because of the high number of students wanting to participate, students will be removed from the sport at the 3rd absence and replaced by someone on the waiting list if there is still more than 50% of the season remaining.  Students will not receive a refund.  One T-Shirt is included in the registration fee for each participant. Please make checks payable to Jefferson Academy. The Intramural Sports Program is an optional after school program. Therefore, the fee is not included in the free or reduced lunch waiver program.
