School News

CMAS Testing  -  5th grade students will test the week of April 15. 


4th Grade Band - Will not meet on Monday, April 15, but will meet on Monday, April 22. 


JagCare (before/after school program) - If you have not yet completed this form and are interested in placing your student(s) next year in this program, please fill out the following google form by April 18 (at the end of our business day at 3:30 p.m.). For more information use this link for their website.


Primary Field Day - Friday, April 19 - Kindergarten students (only) will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. or they may be signed out after their events in their classroom. Their events will end at 10:30 a.m. 1st & 2nd grade students will participate in the afternoon from 12:45 - 2:45 p.m. You may sign your student out with their teacher after their events. However, older siblings will be released through the Drive Line to avoid multiple disruptions in the intermediate classrooms.

Student Educational Needs form -  We do not accept teacher requests for the next school year.  However, if you have specific concerns or suggestions about your student’s educational needs, you may request one of these forms from the office (303-438-1011). These are due April 23. 


Assessment Days - May 2 & 3 -  Students will only attend  one session.  Thursday 8:00-11:00 a.m. or Thursday, 12:-3:00 p.m. or Friday 8:00-11:00 a.m.  Lunch will not be served. Students will be dismissed using the Drive Line. Teachers will be sending out a Signup Genius on Monday, April 15. 


Students attending the morning session on Thursday or Friday, must be picked up by 11:15 a.m. If your student gets picked up by one of the daycare buses, please notify the daycare of the time change. 


Student Council is sponsoring a Spirit Week from April 19 through April 25 leading up to Timehop!

  • Fri 4/19 - JA colors (or class colors for K-2 for Field Day)

    Mon 4/22 - Jersey Day - Show off your favorite team whether it is the one you play for or the one you cheer for. 

    Tues 4/23 - Twin Day

    Wed 4/24 - Staff and Student dress switch - students dress like staff members/staff members dress like students.

  •  Thurs 4/25 - Decade day - Come dressed in fashion trends from your favorite decade.

Secondary School News

Key Club requests donations for Hope House-  Hope House is located in Arvada and supports teen moms with education, career development, economic needs and child care. They are requesting donations of diapers and wet wipes. This can make a significant difference in providing essential supplies for young mothers and their babies. Jefferson Academy secondary also provides educational assistance for teen moms in receiving their diploma.  These items can be dropped off in the east or west foyer.

PTO News

PTO Committee Leads Needed for 2024-2025.  Our PTO is in the process of filling several key Committee Lead and Co-Lead positions within their ranks.  Please see the letter from PTO and administration here.

 

School Supplies for 2024-2025 school year  -Time to order your students school supplies for next year! Order from 1st Day School Supplies  You will order for your student’s next year grade level using this link. Supplies will PTO Committee Leads Needed (Letter from Mr. Feddema)be delivered to the school in August and taken to your student's classroom before the first day of school. Summer Bridge Books - Help reduce the "summer slide" by providing enrichment for your child for just 15-20 minutes per day all summer long. Available for pre-K through 8th grade. $15 each with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting PTO. You may order online April 10 through April 24. Books would be delivered to students by May 17. Timehop Tickets on sale NOW! Timehop, our school's decades themed (costumes encouraged) spring community event, will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at The Establishment in Westminster. Timehop Volunteers Needed - The JA PTO is excited to be hosting this year's Spring Community Event - Timehop! As with all big events, it takes a village to make it happen, and we are counting on our JA Village this time around too! Will you consider giving an hour (or maybe two) of your time to help pull off this fun family event? To find out more details, check out the Sign up link!

 

Report Your Volunteer Hours - While volunteering at school your hours are recorded. Volunteering outside of school for shopping and preparing food for a hospitality event to cutting shapes for a bulletin board will be recorded by logging on your account. This link is located on the  PTO website. Scroll down to the Log Your Hours button to get started.
