School Bulletin    May 20, 2022

As our school year comes to an end, we want to thank our PTO, JA Board, volunteers, and our families for their continued support. We really could not have done this without all of you! Have a wonderful and safe summer. We look forward to seeing you back in August!

Field Day - Monday, May 23 - 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade will participate in the morning, 8:30 - 10:30. 4th, 5th & 6th grade will participate in the afternoon 12:45 - 2:00 p.m. Parking - Do not park on 99th Pl, 99th Ave or on Yarrow ST. Parking is available in he school lot and in the church lot.

Visitors may sign in on the east side or by the office.  Visitors arriving earlier than the start times (8:45 a.m. in the morning or 12:45 p.m. in the afternoon) may wait in the cafeteria or commons.   Please do not go to the classrooms.

Volunteers should come to the office and get their volunteer badge.  Volunteers will go to the intermediate gym at 8:00 a.m.(morning session) and 12:15 p.m. (afternoon session).

Students should bring a water bottle, hat, jacket and put on sunscreen before arriving at school. Athletic shoes are required and dress appropriately for the weather. 

An all-school assembly will be held between 2:00 p.m. - 2:50 p.m. Due to capacity restrictions, parents cannot attend. If you need to take your student out of school early (during the assembly), please let the teacher and office know. Students will not attend the assembly and they will be waiting in the office. 

6th grade graduation - Wednesday, May 25 - 6th grade graduation at 6:00 p.m. at our secondary school (11251 Reed Way)

If you have a special need due to a disability, plan to attend this event, and wish to request accommodations in order to participate, contact Shelly Cohen, 720-728- 6162.  Please call in advance so that appropriate arrangements for reasonable accommodations may be made.

Medications - If your child has medication in the school health room, it must be picked by the last day of school, Wednesday, May 25 before 12:00 p.m. If the medication is not picked up, it must be disposed of according to Jefferson County Health. 

Not returning to JA next year? If your child is not returning to JA and you have not notified the office, please call as soon as possible (303.438.1011). This will provide an opportunity for students that are on our waiting list to enroll. 

Lost & Found - There are two Lost & Found areas. One is located in the hallway behind the office and the other in the east entryway. We have a plethora of items.  Please check these areas before the end of school. All remaining items will be donated.

School Supplies - Last days to purchase your school supply kits for next year! Order at https://1stday.sale/18779 through May 25. Supply kits will be delivered directly to your child's classroom before the Meet-n-Greet in August. $5 from each box comes back to the school. Thank you! Jeffco Food Service - Starting in August 2022 school lunches will no longer be free. Families may apply for free & reduced lunches beginning July 1, 2022.  

Youth Volleyball Camp - August 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for boys and girls who will be in  2nd - 8th grade this fall. This will be held at our secondary school (11251 Reed Way). Cost $35. For more information and to sign up, use this link.

Tuesday, May 24 - Last day of school for all Kindergarten and 6th grade students (full day)

Wednesday, May 25 - Last day of school for grades 1st - 5th. Students dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is not served.
